Hello Parents,

I hope everyone is enjoying their Memorial Day Weekend! Remember no practice today due to the holiday. Practice will resume tomorrow, Tuesday, May 29.

What a fantastic job Riley Raymond did singing the National Anthem on Saturday. That was a great way to start the swim meet.

Our JV Stars swam hard and fast. We had numerous kids and relays win their events and we keep seeing every swimmer improving on their times each and every week.

Another busy week with an away swim meet at Copperfield Dolphins and the mid-season Summer Thunder invitational at Klein High School.

Copperfield Swim Meet

We will be visiting the Copperfield Dolphins Swim Team this Saturday, June 2. The swim meet will be at the Copperfield Pool located at 7703 Park Falls, Houston, Texas 77095. Our team set up will be outside of the pool fence on the greenbelt side. If looking from the parking lot, our set up will be to the left of the pool in the area between the pool fence and Bayou.

There is no parkingin the pool’s parking lot. Please park on the side of the street opposite the pool.

Please check your children in by 7 a.m.

Will your swimmer(s) be missing the meet or will your swimmer be late to the meet or leaving early? If so, please fill out the missing a meet form on the website and turn it into one of the board members during practice. The deadline to submit the missing a meet form is Wednesday. If you will be late or early, state that on the missing the meet form so the coaches make sure not to enter your swimmer on a relay team.

If your swimmer is entered on a relay team, do not leave the swim meet until your swimmer has completed all relay events. If you leave, there is a good likelihood that a relay team will be scratched. That is not fair to the swimmers and their families who remained at the meet to only find out that their child will not be competing in the relay event after all.

Volunteer Information

All volunteers need to check in as well.

Officials and Timers & Scribes will have separate meetings on the deck at approximately 8 a.m. Saturday morning.

Additional Volunteers Still Needed!!!We need to fill up a few more volunteer spots. Remember, swim meets cannot happen without parents' assistance. It takes, at least, 120 volunteers to run a swim meet efficiently. Go the website and sign up.

3. Star Search – 1 Second Shift spot still open.

4. Timers – 1 Second Shift spot still open.

The volunteer participation this season has been great so far. We are now in the second half of the season and we still need everyone to go above and beyond the minimum to make sure these swim meets run smoothly and efficiently.

Summer Thunder Invitational

The Summer Thunder invitational is this coming Sunday and Monday. The swim meet is at the Klein High School Natatorium located at 16715 Stuebner Airline, Klein, Texas 77379.

All 10 year olds and unders who qualified and signed up will swim on Sunday. Warm ups begin at 11 a.m. with the swim meet beginning at 1 p.m.

The 100 Freestyle and 100 Individual Medley for 11 year olds and older will be on Sunday and swimmers that qualified and signed up for those events will need to be there by 4 p.m.

The remaining events for 11 year olds and older will be on Monday evening. Warm ups start at 3:45 p.m. with the swim meet beginning at 5:00 p.m.

You can view your swimmers' results from last week by logging into the website and clicking on the Swim Meets tab. Under the JVS v. Bridgeland meet is a link titled "meet results".
