Hello JV Stars Families,

I hope everyone had wonderful fall and holiday seasons.  The JV Stars Board has been working hard to get ready for the 2019 season.  Part of the preparation is advertising and we would love to have your help with the Yard Sign Program and JV Stars New Family Referral Program.  We also want to let you know about our new parking lot fundraiser.

Yard Sign Program

Beginning in late February, we will be placing purple yard signs throughout the Jersey Village area that will direct people to our website for registration.  We need families to place these in their yard.  If you would like to help out by having a yard sign placed in your yard, please either respond directly to me or email Krista Guerrero at [email protected].

JV Stars New Family Referral Program

The best advertising is word of mouth.  If you refer a new family to the JV Stars, we will provide you with one volunteer credit.  A new family is considered a family that has not had a registered swimmer on the JV Stars in the past two years.  In order for you to receive the credit, the new family must identify you or your family in response to the New Family Referral question in their registration.  So get the word out and inform those new families to include your name in their registration.

Jersey Village Farmers' Market and Post Family Health and Fitness Night

The JV Stars will be present at the Jersey Village Farmers' Market on February 3, 2019 and March 3, 2019 from noon - 3:00 pm.  The JV Stars will also be present at the Post Elementary Family Health and Fitness Night on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.  Come on out and say hello!!!  Also, let anyone you know who is interest in the JV Stars to come visit us to get more information about the team.

Parking Lot Fundraiser

As a fundraiser, the JV Stars are selling the parking spots in the pool's parking lot for Home Swim Meets. The cost is $45.00 for the season. Limit 1 per family. We only have 34 spots available. First to purchase, first to be served. If you purchase a parking spot, one spot in the pool's parking lot will be reserved for your family at home swim meets only (spots are not reserved for practices). Please note, that the JV Stars' swim-meet set-up is moving this year to area between the Pavilion and pool and around the Splash Pad right next to the parking lot.  You can purchase a parking spot through your registration.

Also, we will auction off the two parking spots closest to our set-up area to the two highest bidders.  Details on the auction to come.

Remember, registration opens March 1, 2019.  Be sure to register early to purchase those parking spots and to sign up for your preferred volunteer sessions.
