The kids had another great swim meet against Cypresswood to earn their second win of the season. The swimmers are all getting faster every week! We look forward to watching the kids’ continual improvements.

Announcements this week include information on picture day, the mid-season Summer Thunder invitational swim meet and meet against Lakes on Eldridge Dolphins.

PICTURE DAY

Monday, May 20, is picture day. Individual and/or family pictures start at about 4:15 pm and you will be able to have individual photos after the team picture too.

The team photo will be at 5:15 pm. Be there on time or your swimmers will not be in the team photo. Please have your swimmers wear their team T-Shirt for the photo.

We will still have practice at the following times:

6 and Unders 5:30 – 6:00 pm

7 and 8 year olds 6:00 – 6:30 pm

9 and older 6:30 – 7:15 pm

SUMMER THUNDER MID-SEASON INVITATIONAL

This season, the JV Stars are participating in the Summer Thunder Mid-Season Invitational. This is an invitational meet for swimmers who have times that qualify for the swim meet. It will cost $10 per event that your swimmer enters and checks can be made out to JV Swim Team. The team will pay for any relay events.

The coaches and JV Stars Swim Team strongly encourage all swimmers who qualify to enter and compete in this swim meet. We want our swimmers competing against the very best swimmers in NWAL and this is one opportunity to do so.

Summer Thunder is being held at Klein High School on June 2 and 3^rd. All 10 and younger events and the 11 and older 100 Freestyle and 100 Individual Medley will be on the afternoon of Sunday, June 2. All other 11 and older events will be held on the evening of Monday, June 3.

To enter your swimmers in this swim meet, you must do so through the team website by 5 pm this Saturday, May 25th. After logging on to your account on the team website, click on the “Swim Meets” tab. Then go to “Summer Thunder – Day One” or “Summer Thunder – Day Two” and click on the “MEET ENTRY” tab. You should then see a list of all your swimmers. Click on “Edit”. Change each applicable swimmer to “Attending this meet” and you should see a list of events that your swimmer has qualified for. Check each event you want your swimmer entered into. In the note section, state whether your swimmer will be available for relays. Then, you must click “Save” to save your changes. After clicking “Save”, you should see your swimmers listed with “Attending” and a list of all events they have entered into.

Swimmers that qualify for at least 3 events will be allowed to swim all additional events (with the exception of 11 – 12 100 Free, 10 & Under 50 Free and 100 Individual Medley for all ages). If you want to bonus in additional events for your swimmer, include that in the note section.

SWIM MEET VS. LAKES ON ELDRIDGE DOLPHINS

This Saturday, we are hosting the Lakes on Eldridge Dolphins.

Please check your children in by 7 a.m. Swim warm-ups for 10 and younger swimmers is 7:10 am. Swim warm-ups for 11 and older swimmers is 7:25. If you are late, you will miss warm-ups. Younger swimmers will not be permitted to warm-up at the 7:25 warm-up time.
